Abbaye aux Dames – Jeune Orchestre atlantique

Created in 1996 by the Orchestre des Champs-Elysées, the Centre d'Etudes Supérieures de Musique et de la Danse de Poitou-Charentes and the Abbaye aux Dames in Saintes, the Jeune Orchestre Atlantique is a professional training programme that allows young musicians to approach the interpretation of the Classical and Romantic repertory on period instruments.

Académie de Villecroze

Anne Postel-Vinay perpetuates the patronage inaugurated by her grandmother, Anne Gruner Schlumberger. The Academy organises a dozen master classes a year, to which it invites talented young musicians from around the world. It aims to help those young artists early in their careers, notably through concerts and CD recordings.

Le Paris Conservatoire (in full: Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris) is a public institution. It provides a high-level education in the fields of music, dance and the new sound technologies. Its aim is to provide the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to enable its graduates to practise those arts and professions, as well as teaching.

Festival Jeunes Talents

Jeunes Talents

Since 1998 Jeunes Talents has organised 150 concerts a year in Paris, including a festival in July. The concerts are given on Saturdays at the Hôtel de Soubise, and also in hospitals. Our main aims are to receive brilliant young musicians, present a diversity of programmes, allow free entrance for children and show solidarity towards new audiences.

Quatuors à Bordeaux

QUATUORS À BORDEAUX aims to promote chamber music and the string quartet. Every three years it organises for that purpose an International String Quartet Competition. The last one took place in 2010 and the next one is due to be held from 6–12 May 2013. In the intervening years, it organises a festival – the Rencontres Européennes de Musique de Chambre – held in conjunction with an String Quartet Academy in which top-level master classes are provided for a small number of string quartets wishing to improve their performance by working with teachers of world renown.

Haute École de Musique de Genève

The Haute École de Musique de Genève stems from Switzerland’s oldest institution devoted to musical education, the Geneva Conservatory of Music (1835). The HEM, as it is sometimes known, is an educational and artistic community of international repute, attracting some 650 students from the five continents, who receive tuition from a staff of about a hundred, plus guest teachers.
